There are no cars on Mackinac Island, where Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently signed into law historic bipartisan reforms to Michigan’s no-fault car insurance system. But if there were, the owners of those cars would have been forced into paying the nation’s highest prices for insurance premiums.
